We'll meet in Bellano (9.30 am), a beautiful town on Lake Como, walk along the ‘Viandante’s trail’ -a traditional path dating back to Roman times- which runs on the hills along the lake, offering great panoramic views.

We'll walk by rustic stone houses, old mill ruins, little mountain churches, terraces cultivated with vineyards and olive trees.

We'll stop for pictures at panoramic points, walk past the suggestive medieval Vezio Castle, offering one of the best ever views over Lake Como, where the three branches merge.

You can either stop here and visit the castle (4€ entrance., or descend with me from Vezio to Varenna, arguably the most picturesque town on Lake Como.

In Varenna you'll have the choice of getting on the train back to Bellano (13.24 p.m. €1.40), or you can choose to stay independently in Varenna to visit the town.

The hike will take around 3 hours at a slow pace. We are locals, passionate about the mountains and connoisseurs of the area.
