HIKING INTO THE HISTORY OF DONGO 

Easy / moderately difficult walk / trekking with a backpack for approx. 5/6 km, suitable for everyone (children under 16 accompanied, +16 if not accompanied, by an adult).

Not dangerous. Duration: approx. 3-5 hours.

Meet at 8:00 a.m. in Piazza Dongo Paracchini, 22014 Dongo; Reception and programming; Breakfast, packed lunch included (2 sandwiches + water each). Departure 8:30 a.m. / 9 a.m., beginning of the route: visit the mountainous and local area and discover the history on the way of the "old queen". On the historic mule tracks, the mountain path of the partisans and the "smuggler Spalloni" in World War II. With explanation.

We will visit historic churches that lead through old mule tracks and impressive views, and admire the splendor of a botanical garden that is all immersed in the tranquility of the mountain.

- Picnic lunch break, around 11:30 a.m. / 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. / 1:30 p.m.
- Route of the "Giardin del Merlo", strategic observation point during the war
- (optional) visit the local "hunting museum"

It also offers a small attraction for children that involve them and bring them closer to nature.
